Wax-We might think that using wax on slate floors is a good idea as it will make the tile shinier, however waxing will deminish the natural look of the slate. Wax will cover or change the organic shade or tone of the tile thereby creating an artificial look. The grout in between the tiles may also turn yellowish making the floor look less than immaculate.
